The Daily Dig
This movie slipped by me when it was released back in 2006, but I had the good fortune of catching it on a return flight home a couple months ago and I've just bought my own copy to share with friends and family.
It’s the story of an accidental gardener who started the way most of do. A little tinkering here and there and before you know it, you’re a gardener. But his story doesn’t just begin and end there. He was the son of a sharecropper with no horticultural background. He began visiting the local nurseries and taking home the discards that weren’t fit for selling. His passion and vision transformed three acres and plants from the refuse pile into a sculpted topiary wonderland, inspiring his friends, family, community, and beyond. His story and his gardens will charm the gardeners and non-gardens alike, leaving you inspired, hopeful and with a smile in your mind.
